BC Ferries
NOTE: Powell River/Texada Ferry, Earls Cove/Saltery Bay Ferry, and Horseshoe Bay/Langdale Ferry, you only pay in one direction for each. IMPORTANT DRIVING INFO: from TEXADA FERRY LANDING to FESTIVAL SITE Drive off of ferry and follow main road to T junction (Texada Gas Station). Turn RIGHT and follow road to Gillies Bay (20 km, Gillies Bay Store on your right). Continue on to next T junction (Shelter Point) and turn LEFT. Take first RIGHT onto dirt Road (Davie Bay Rd.) From there follow yellow sun signs to Shingle Beach Campsite. NOTE: Please drive slowly on the dirt road as it is a very active forestry route. Be aware of sharp blind corners, loose gravel, potholes and oncoming traffic. Also, when leaving, please remember to give yourself more than 1 hour to reach departing ferry on time. DO NOT SPEED ON TEXADA ISLAND. |

NOTICE TO BOATERS: If you are choosing to come up to the festival in your boat, please keep advised that there is NO dock at the location and the seas can get rough with unpredictable weather conditions. The festival takes absolutely NO responsibilty whatsoever for any loss, damages, injury, etc. that may occur. Water Taxis are a good option if you have a group of 8 or 12 people. Costs range from $50-125 return per person if 8-12 people share expenses. We recommend making reservations early, as boats fill up fast as summer approaches! Currently there are several feasible locations for pickup/dropoff for those interested in traveling by boat: Chemainus, Nanaimo, Ladysmith, Cowichan Valley, Gulf Islands, HorseshoeBay (Vancouver),Gibsons area (Pender Harbour, Egmont, Earls Cove, Saltery Bay and Secret Cove)
